How this works
Setting up a conference
Everything that names your conference lives in Settings — title, theme, organizers, sponsors, logos, and the venue line printed under the program. Nothing is hardcoded, so the same installation runs any conference.
Days, rooms, session types and time slots are in Setup. There is no limit on the number of days, and session types are yours to define.
Submissions
Papers can be entered by hand, or submitted by authors themselves once you open the call for papers in Settings. Submitted papers arrive unconfirmed and unassigned, so they appear in the dashboard's unassigned cluster for you to sort.
A paper carries a title, abstract (Markdown), keywords, presentation mode and award-candidate flag. Participants are linked to papers many-to-many, so a co-author on three papers is one person.
Building the program
Group papers into panels from the dashboard or a panel's page, where you can also drag them into running order and assign chairs.
Workbench places panels into time-slot and room cells. A panel can only occupy one cell, and a room can only hold one panel per slot.
Public program renders the result. It needs no login and is safe to share.
Membership
If a membership source is configured, participants show a standing badge in the authors directory. That is the whole of the connection: the conference reads membership and never writes to it.
With no source configured, membership does not appear anywhere and everything else works normally.
Accounts
Roles are viewer (read only), chair, organizer (edit submissions and the schedule) and admin (also delete records and manage accounts).
